Wraparound Facilitator
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. We have an immediate opening for a Facilitator in our Wraparound Program.
Responsibilities:Facilitators will work on a team providing services to children and their families/caregivers involved in the Los Angeles County foster care or probation systems using a Wraparound services delivery model. In Wraparound, the team does "whatever it takes" to assist high need children to be successful in school, home and their communities with the goal being to maintain children in community settings. Facilitators will lead the Child and Family teams to work directly with the children and family/caregivers per the Plan of Care in their respective environments, including but not limited to in homes, out-of-home placement(s), schools and/or in the community to help achieve permanent placement for the child(ren). Facilitators are responsible for: 1) convening the team and ensuring the continuity of care and that all identified services in the Plan of Care are provided, 2) ensuring the application of family-centered practice by the entire team, 3) serving as the contact point for children, families, service providers and the community, and 4) ensuring there is continuous input and feedback from the family and service providers. In addition, in accordance with the Child and Family Plan of Care, Facilitators will provide mental health services, crisis intervention and case management services through a Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Services contract. Use of own car, and timely completion of duties including but not limited to paperwork, keeping records, and performing other, similar paraprofessional job duties are required. Other duties will be assigned, in keeping with the program's model to serve children in the most effective manner.
Requirements: MA/MS/PhD in social work/psychology with 2 years experience OR a BA in a social work/psychology with 4 years experience with severely emotionally disturbed youth and DCFS/Probation consumer is required. Applicants must understand and demonstrate independent initiative to perform in a team environment that endorses the family-driven, group decision-making process at the heart of this model. Bilingual Spanish speaking ability is highly preferred. A valid California driver license and an insurable driving record are required.
Hours: This is a 24hour/7 day per week program and the Facilitator will arrange and participate in this coverage with other team members, depending on the needs of children and families in the program. This position will be placed on the Non-Management Salary Plan.

Clinical Therapist (Bilingual Spanish Speaking Preferred )

Responsibilities: As a full-time team member, Therapists who are currently registered with a licensing board primarily handle cases as assigned and perform intakes for mental health services. Therapists interview and collect information from clients/families/caretakers, identify symptoms, make diagnoses and develop therapeutic treatment plans, run therapy groups for children & families/caregivers, plan and administer therapeutic treatment within accepted professional and Clinic guidelines, teach social skills and anger management techniques, travel in the community to make home/school on-site visits, and counsel clients with accepted methods. Therapists work on a team with Family Advocates and others. They consult with clinical supervisors, psychiatrists, Clinic staff or others and timely complete required paperwork using an electronic system and submit complete and timely paperwork. Clinical Therapist FSP
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles We have an immediate opening for a Clinical Therapist in the Full Service Partnership who will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health services to children or adults and their families/caregivers.
Duties and Responsibilities: As a team member, handles cases as assigned, or performs intakes, for which the Therapist interviews and collects information from clients, identifies symptoms, makes diagnoses and develops a therapeutic or treatment plan, runs therapy groups for children & families, plans and administers therapeutic treatment within accepted professional guidelines, makes home visits and counsels clients with accepted methods to assist client. Also consults with clinical supervisor, medical doctor, Clinic peers or other specialists and timely completes required progress notes and paperwork using concurrent documentation in computerized charting systems. Qualifications: The position requires a master’s degree (MSW, MA or MS), and at least 1,000 hours of clinical experience. Training directly related to children and child counseling is preferred. Secretary III for FSP/TAY
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with a history of service to the children and families of Central & South Los Angeles. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Secretary III for our FSP/TAY program. This position has a spilt supervision between two Division Directors and will work at two sites (3031 Vermont and 3787 Exposition) during the week.
Responsibilities: Will work under the direct supervision of the Director to: provide administrative support in tracking flexible funds, referrals and authorization, enrollment and terminating enrollment of cases in FSP and Wraparound. Will assist in tracking outcomes and provide reports as determined by Departments. Will also oversee the general set-up and smooth operation of division operations (such as open, read and route mail, file, answer the telephone/email, greet visitors, take dictation, type reports, schedule meetings, manage the Director’s calendar, and other related tasks), draft, update and produce a wide variety of informational, statistical and other reports, track program and building management and program coordinators’s reports, calculate and track clinician/family advocate productivity reports, work with other Clinic managers to obtain program data, including but not limited to census reports, participant files, mailing lists, budget and supply reports, contract compliance and renewal documentation, client attendance reporting and other similar project reporting requirements. Must drive to all Clinic sites (within a six mile radius) and work off-site with a minimum of supervision. Maintain daily attendance log and vacation/sick log for staff. Attends meetings and takes, transcribes and maintains minutes of same. Participates with other clerical and administrative support staff in routine and special tasks that support interdepartmental and general Clinic functioning. Other duties will be assigned.
Skills/Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) plus 1-2 years increasingly responsible secretarial experience or Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent number of units from a post-secondary school or secretarial college plus 3-4 years increasingly responsible secretarial experience, or a high school diploma or G.E.D. with 6 years increasingly responsible experience. Strong organization, communication and teamwork skills are a must, as is the ability to maintain a calm demeanor while handling multiple tasks without losing productivity. Ability to write, proofread, and edits grammatically correct routine reports and correspondence. A valid CA driver license and an insurable driving record are required. Must poses excellent computer skills using Word, Excel, email/internet, Access and data management abilities to compile and provide detailed, accurate reports. This position may use a new Clinic Management Software System as it is implemented. Custodian
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Central Los Angeles. We have an immediate opening for a Custodian.
Duties and Requirements:The position requires basic knowledge related to the safe and effective handling and storage of various common cleaning compounds, and basic knowledge related to proper general housekeeping, cleaning and sanitation practices. The successful candidate must also know or very quickly acquire basic knowledge related to the proper use of repair tools, and basic repair procedures. The position further requires an individual with good physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move boxes and other heavy loads up to 75 lbs., as well as the ability to maintain a pleasant and service-oriented demeanor in the face of on-going requests for housekeeping services from multiple individuals including vendors. A valid California driver license and a driving record that is insurable by the Clinic are required, as is the ability to communicate in grammatically correct English and respond to written service requests. Clinical Supervisors
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. We have immediate openings for Clinical Supervisors who meet either the Board of Behavioral Sciences' or Board of Psychology's requirements to supervise staff completing clinical hours toward licensure. Supervisors must meet or exceed their respective licensing Board's requirements to supervise staff collecting hours toward licenses by providing mental health services. We are specifically searching for a licensed clinical social worker with experience supervising community based mental health services.
Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Supervisors work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing mental health services to children and their families/caregivers by providing clinical supervision to staff obtaining hours towards licensure in their respective disciplines, within Clinic and Board standards and performing related duties. Some positions may include a client case load and/or part-time status, depending on duties performed. All Supervisors also timely complete required notes and chart/note reviews, manage supervisees client schedules to ensure approriate services delivery and case load to meet or exceed service delivery requirements, attend meetings, initiate scheduling of clinical supervision, provide staff trainings, evaluate staff clinical skills and meet client service delivery requirements, depending on actual duties performed. Supervisors are responsible for completion and submission of written reports addressing review of supervisees chart documentation, evaluating staff performance and reviewing client records using an electronic health records system for timeliness and appropriateness of services. Reconciliation Specialist
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. The Clinic's Quality Management and Training division seeks a qualified Reconciliation Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director or her designee, the Specialist will: monitor the accuracy of Medi-Cal units of service for all assigned departments and programs, generate elextronic health records reports for the purpose of reconciliation to actual data entry, reconcile progress notes and other mental health services documentation with data entry information, verify Medi-Cal or other payor source eligibility, complete the Error Correction and other assigned reports, review written reports and verify accuracy of any unbilled units, generate monthly status report on reconciliation errors and resubmit/void/delete claims billed in error, timely attend and participate in meetings as assigned and complete other, similar duties as assigned. This position works with more than one type of electronic health records system and works with teams of mental health services support staff and professionals. Other duties will be assigned.
Requirements: The position requires excellent computer and interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, an extremely high accuracy rate in reconciliation, a very high level of attention to the details of record keeping, demonstrated ability to spot, assess and self-correct errors, calmly manage researching and retrieving client information and the ability to maintain a high level of personal productivity in a very busy office environment handling a high volume of paper, hard copy and electronic charts as well as confidential mental health information. Verified associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or three years of directly equivalent experience and/or training required. This position travels between three locations within a six mile radius; a valid California driver license and insurable driving record are required.

Evaluation Specialist
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to South and Central Los Angeles. We have an exciting, immediately available opportunity for an Evaluation Specialist in our Quality Management and Evaluation division.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Specialist leads the Clinic's evaluation/data management activities in clinical and other programs under the general supervision of the QME Division Director per various funder and Clinic requirements. Duties include: read/review contracts for services and other documents to establish systems to provide reports to Management that meet program/grant data management requirements. This position will assess current systems and create new ones: maintain and create data management tools and formats as needed in Excel, Access or other format, provide training to program staff, collect, collate and analyze program data, perform data entry & data analysis to create written reports for Clinic and funder purposes. Other duties will be assigned.
Educations/Skills: Ph.D. with concentration in evaluation and research methods and at least three years of experience preferred. Excellent WORD, Access, Excel, general computer, database, internet skills; accurate data entry and demonstrated mathematical - statistical calculation skills required. Parent Partner, Wraparound Program-Full Time
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with an 80 year history of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. We have an immediate opening for an energetic parent to work in our Wraparound program. The Parent will work as part of a multidisciplinary Child and Family Team supporting the provision of services to children and families. Program staff provides on-call & other services 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements: Under the guidance of the Facilitator, a Parent works as a member of the program's Child and Family Team. A parent partner shall have personal experience with navigating one of the public agencies: DCFS, Probation, DMH or the special education system. Referring Departments may include the Department of Children and Family Services, the Department of Mental Health, or the Probation Department. Parent Partners work closely with assigned Wraparound child(ren)'s parent/caregivers to represent their best interests and participate as members of the Child and Family team. Personal experience with a child in the system is required. This position is the primary contact for parents involved with the program. Makes regular home visits to families, facilitates interventions as appropriate, provides teaching and guidance to parents and caregivers to help them manage existing resources and access needed resources, develops and maintains positive, supportive relationships with parents and acts as liaison, models appropriate behavioral interventions, helps plan program events, participates in staff and other meetings; and completes paperwork in a timely and thorough manner. Early Intervention Training Institute Secretary III
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80-years of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. We have an immediate opening for a Secretary III for the Early Intervention Training Institute.
Duties & Responsibilities: The Secretary will work with team members to provide office reception, correspondence and general clerical support to the Early Intervention Training Institute. The Secretary will answer phones and give information to callers, schedule appointments, compose, type and proofread correspondence, maintain general correspondence files, read and route incoming mail, and perform other similar administrative and clerical tasks such as: maintain master calendar for training programs, interface with community agency representatives and trainers, coordinate curriculum materials, facility locations, marketing, registration, agreements with trainers and follow-up activities; attend training sessions to facilitate coordination of identified tasks; maintain a wide variety of reports, documents and files related to program functioning, including but not limited to training census and evaluation reports, mailing lists, budget and supply reports, contract development and compliance, training coordination activities, participant attendance reporting and other similar program reporting requirements; assist with data management for the training institute; interface as necessary with LACGC’s administrative staff to review, order and maintain program equipment and supplies; participates with other clerical and administrative support staff in routine and special tasks that support interdepartmental and general LACGC functioning; at the direction of management, maintains all records and documentation needed for program compliance and accountability in accordance with funding requirements and Clinic standards. Duties & Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of the Vice President of Advancement, this position performs multiple support and fundraising duties in collaboration with Executive Management Team members, staff and others on various projects and community relations activities as part of the Clinic's administrative team, including:
Completing grant writing project tasks such as researching, writing and obtaining approval to submit government, corporate and foundation grant proposals and overseeing production and dissemination of public information materials, including brochures, newsletters, annual reports and e-news updates; preparing, writing and distributing news/pressreleases, feature stories or columns; assisting with other advancement-related writing projects, e.g. brochures, fundraising letters, annual reports, and newsletters; and public service announcements in print and electronic media regarding specific Clinic events and activities; developing application support documents and funding compliance reports; maintaining databases of research efforts and proposal tracking systems; and researching specific program information and community statistics, e.g. area demographics and mental health related statistics.
Representing the Clinic at community meetings and events, ensuring that the Clinic’s needs and interests are addressed appropriately; managing donor and community contact databases, including regular gift processing in conjunction with the Accounting Department, tracking and sending donor and gift acknowledgements, updating records (contacting donors as necessary), generating and reconciling financial reports and creating customized mail merges for various projects; coordinating special events (including establishing timelines to track and execute all related tasks), recruiting and training in-house and external volunteers, negotiating with vendors, developing and overseeing production of event-related printed materials, e.g. invitations and event programs; and performing various administrative tasks, including processing purchase orders, replenishing and organizing office and publicity supplies, scheduling meetings, etc. Other duties will be assigned.

LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with over 80 years of service to the children and families of Central and South Central Los Angeles. We have an immediate opportunity for Translators to support the Clinic's mental health programs.
Duties & Responsibilities: These part-time positions provide support services to professionals and paraprofessionals of a multidisciplinary, multicultural staff that includes psychiatrists, therapists, family advocates and others providing an array of mental health services to children and their families/caregivers. These positions attend therapy sessions, intakes, and other Clinic activities to translate from Spanish to English and English to Spanish in person, and on the phone. Drives to client homes/community settings, will work at more than one Clinic location, one of which is morning hours two days per week. Travel between three sites within a six-mile radius is required, using own transportation. Other duties will be assigned.
Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English speaking ability is required. Bi-literate translation skills are preferred. At least six months experience providing translation services in a health care environment is preferred. Knowledge of the provision of mental health services and experience working within the non-profit industry is also preferred. Duties & Responsibilities: The IT Support Technician I: works with the IT Support Technician II and/or Systems /Network Administrator under the supervision of the Information Technology Coordinator. The IT Support Technician I:
• Provides 1st level support to computer users, and refers to the Technician II or the IT Coordinator whenever problem affects more than a single user or beyond 1st level support.
• Configures, maintains and upgrades computer systems as assigned. Will set up & take down stations and track inventory of computer systems.
• Ensures virus protection on each computer is up to date.
• Prepares and maintains documentation for agency’s technology structure:

We have an immediate opening for a Systems/Network Administrator to provide technical and application support to the Clinic's information technology operations.
Duties & Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. In sum:
• Perform daily monitoring & maintenance of servers and other computer network components.
• Ensure that data security components are working as expected.
• Maintain & support in-house Servers, including Backup Servers.
• Document technical service activities, hardware and software inventories.
• Perform special projects as needed.

Early Intervention Outpatient Services Coordinator
LOS ANGELES CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC is a private, non-profit, community-based mental health clinic with a history of service to the children of Central and South Los Angeles. We have an immediate opening for an energetic, experienced, licensed Coordinator to join our Management Staff. Applicants possessing current certification in early intervention mental health services will receive priority.
Duties & Responsibilities: This position acts as a member of the Clinic’s Management Staff directly supervising early intervention outpatient services under the direction of the early intervention services clinical Division Director. The Coordinator manages several early intervention programs currently provided by a multidisciplinary team working with very young children and their families/caregivers. This position requires expertise/certification in early intervention mental health services, as well as a consistent professional demeanor using tact and judgment to represent the Clinic with a demonstrated commitment to the Clinic's mission, vision and goals while supervising staff and representing the Clinic to stakeholders and funders.
For this full-time position, the Coordinator is: responsible for the day-to-day operations of outpatient mental health services to children and families in the Early Intervention Division. The Coordinator initiates the expansion of programs per Clinic and funder requirements, manages all referrals and assigns cases, tracks clients services (i.e. case numbers, case assignments, service providers' schedules and client service delivery, referrals, intakes, etc.), attends and runs meetings, provides regular individual and group supervision for clinical Therapists and Family Advocates, timely completion of staff performance appraisals per Clinic practice/policy, reviews services to ensure that they meet the Clinic’s Standards of Effective Care, supervises licensed clinical supervisors, and timely completion of ongoing chart reviews in an electronic behavioral record system. Family Advocate - Bilingual Spanish Speaking - Leimert Park Office

Duties & Responsibilities: The Family Advocate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing case management and mental health services for severely emotionally disturbed children and the family/caregivers that support them, provide client screenings and ongoing outpatient and school-based mental health services. This position works collaboratively within programs that are ongoing in the Leimert Park Office.
The Family Advocate works with various multi-disciplinary teams to assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of a service plan for each client that identifies the client’s personal, social, emotional, mental health, education, physical and/or financial needs and goals. Reviews and collects information related to the client’s socio-economic history, treatment history, education history and other relevant data to the formulation of a service plan. Participates with staff in providing screening services to clients who attend the Clinic’s services, including completion of pay or financial information (PFI’s) forms and other needed/assigned documentation which may occur as part of the Walk-In Clinic's services. Attends case conference meetings to assist and participate in case disposition and follow-up. Mediates and advocates on behalf of the client to help him/her obtain and keep suitable foster care/housing, health care and mental health service, education/school services, benefit entitlements, etc. Searches the community and presents options for additional needed or desired services (ei., emancipation services; sober living opportunities; education enrichment; scholarships, grants or job training programs; age-appropriate social opportunities; parenting classes). Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements: The position requires a BA/BS in social work or related field OR a license as an LVN or LPT, with an emphasis in community mental health work; a demonstrated history of presenting options for needed or desired services; a valid CA driver license and insurable driving record to make home, school, job site/or other community-based visits to assist the client in living, learning and working successfully. Bilingual Spanish speaking ability required, biliterate ability preferred.

We have an immediate, full-time opening for an energetic, experienced Coordinator to join our Management Staff supervising mental health programs, such as Full Service Partnership and Wraparound services, in the Clinic’s Intensive Services division.
Duties & Responsibilities: The Coordinator will manage a multidisciplinary team providing 24/7 mental health services per Clinic policy and contract requirements, reporting directly to the Clinic’s Director of Intensive Services. This position serves as a member of the Clinic's Management Staff which requires significant use of tact and judgment to represent the Clinic with a demonstrated commitment to the Clinic's mission, vision and goals.
The Coordinator will: manage program staff, referrals and coordinate & assign cases, track the use of program/flex funds, track client services (i.e. referrals, case assignments, authorizations, outcomes, service providers' client service delivery, intakes, enrollments/transfers/suspensions etc.), attend and run meetings on and off-site, hire, supervise, evaluate timely per Clinic policy/practice and provide regular individual and group clinical supervision for Clinical Therapists and other program staff, review program services to ensure that they meet the Clinic’s & contract standards for mental health service delivery, and provide ongoing chart reviews using electronic behavioral records systems as well as regular, written program reports to Management. Duties also include direct services/communication with clients and their families/caregivers, as appropriate. This position will complete other Management Staff responsibilities and duties as assigned.
